John Murray
Director of Sales

John is a business management and sales professional who has held several senior operations and sales positions in the automation and controls industry. He has over 25 years of experience in applying technologies for the improvement of manufacturing processes. Prior to joining Progress Engineering in 2016, John worked for the sales arm of several global manufacturers of controls, including Honeywell; Emerson; Schneider Electric (Modicon & Citect); and Red Lion.

John’s background includes involvement with several business startups, including a .com and his own company, PID Inc., a controls distributor. His career responsibilities have been largely centered on small business management and operations, as well as sales development.

John is a graduate of the University of Dayton (B.S. Business Administration) and Southern New Hampshire University (M.B.A.).
