Derek C. Stoddard
Technical Intern

Derek joined Progress Engineering in May 2022 and has since become a valuable member of the team, contributing to the design and development of SCADA and HMI systems for a variety of industrial applications. He is Core Certified in the Ignition Platform and has become very experienced with AVEVA SCADA systems.M

Derek holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Financial Management from Husson University and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Maine, with an expected graduation date of May 2026.

Derek has worked on several projects during his time with Progress so far, focusing mainly on SCADA and HMI design for various unique applications, including a kiln schedule management system and a custom alarming system with integrated email and SMS notifications. He also assists in troubleshooting systems as well as researching and testing new products.
