Trimmer Optimization System

Trim loss, due to inaccurate length detection or inability to quickly and accurately determine acceptable wane, can be expensive. Progress Engineering provides a cost-effective and efficient solution that will make getting the perfect trims significantly easier. Progress Engineering’s TrimPRO^® uses advanced scanning technology which allows users to take control of how their boards are analyzed and trimmed, and includes a wide selection of features that are guaranteed to deliver complete control and reduce trim loss.

TrimPRO^® offers users a cost-effective trimmer optimization system using Progress Engineering’s customized software, capable of processing data from a variety of three-dimensional transverse scanning systems. This system delivers:

• processing of multiple grades, allowing for grader input prior to scanning;
• multiple products per grade, configurable by size and wane rules, including individual product wane rules for thickness, width (face), and length; and a selection between value optimized single and two-board solutions.
• TrimPRO^® users can utilize configurable 3D “Cloud” views and configurable scan recording.
• TrimPRO^® offers online and offline modes, as well as a system diagnostic view and logging.
• Solution history is stored in a Microsoft SQL-Server® database.
