Joanann Jankovich

Joan joined Progress Engineering in February 2022 as a CAD Electrical Design Technician. Joan’s duties at Progress Engineering include working on the design of upcoming projects with the Company’s engineering team and then drafting the electrical schematics and panel layouts.

Joan’s work at Progress Engineering benefits significantly from her six prior years of experience as an industrial electrician working mostly in construction and manufacturing maintenance. Joan has experience in various manufacturing facilities including sawmills, papermills, medical testing manufacturers and others. She has also been a part of projects involving fire alarm and security for the Maine Department of Corrections as well as a project in the oil and gas field. Prior to her work as an electrician, Joan served 4 years in the United States Navy performing preventative and corrective maintenance on weapon systems of the ships on which she served.

Joan is currently pursuing an Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design from Ridgewater College. She already holds an AAS in Electromechanical Technology from Central Maine Community College, a degree focused on industrial manufacturing, including work with PLCs, robotics and process control.
