Michael Lerley joined Progress Engineering in May 2023 as an Engineering Applications Developer.

Mike has worked in a wide variety of programming and technical roles during the 26 years since he received his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maine. For 20 years, he owned and operated his own, full-service company providing outsourced IT and custom programming services to individuals and businesses. In this capacity, Mike performed network design, installation and maintenance, database design and administration, embedded systems programming, and desktop application programming in Visual Basic, C# and C++. He is also expert in video surveillance system design, installation and configuration.

At Progress Engineering, Mike is taking the lead in further development and enhancement of our proprietary forest products optimization applications, including EdgePRO™, TrimPRO™, and LogPRO™, as well as “bespoke” optimizer products for unique applications. His duties at the company will also include developing, programming and troubleshooting a wide variety of software programs, both internally and serving our customers’ facilities.

Mike lives with his family in Gorham, Maine.
